About Sarthak

Sarthak Sharma has over 15 years of experience in professional theatre. He has performed at esteemed venues like the National School Of Drama, Sri Ram Centre, Kamani Auditorium, LTG in Delhi, as well as Veda Factory, Mukkti Cultural Hub and The Actor's Truth in Mumbai. His journey in professional camera acting began with Dhavak, a mini-feature available on Amazon miniTV and Amazon Prime Video, in 2020. Subsequently, he has acted in numerous captivating short films, ranging from student projects at SRFTI, Kolkata and Symbiosis, Pune, to professional productions currently being a part of Indian and International film festivals, to one of which features on the HumaraMovie YouTube channel. He has recently completed the shooting of an upcoming full-length feature film as the male lead. Amidst all these ventures, he also seized exceptional opportunities such as joining the cast of College Romance Season 3, currently streaming on SonyLiv, and working on advertising campaigns for Rapido Bike Taxi. Recently, he portrayed the iconic role of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in a successful theatre production held at the India International Centre in Delhi. He has participated in workshops organized by NSD, Delhi and FTII, Pune and trained in the Navarasa technique under the esteemed guidance of Guru G. Venu at Natanakairali, Kerala. Additionally, he has honed his skills in the Eric Morris, Stephen Book and Sanford Meisner techniques, under the invaluable teachings of Mr. Saurabh Sachdeva at The Actor's Truth. Apart from acting, he enthusiastically embraces anchoring opportunities, does voice-overs, and has done exemplary work in writing and performing poetry at various events.

About the lesson

The one thing that I've realized after being in the profession for so many years is that actors struggle to have a daily routine of riyaaz like other artists (musicians, singers, painters). Since ours is an art of doing, having a daily riyaaz routine is much needed, especially if you want to keep growing and learning every day. That's what I'm here to help you with. A broad overview of the topics we're going to cover: 1) Voice Exercises 2) Eye exercises 3) Acting tools 4) Speech Exercises 5) Let's perform together. It's going to be a 2 week module with 4 sessions/week of 1 hour each. Let's build a daily Riyaaz-routine, together!

Perfect! I have done a beginner module with Sarthak Sir. The module is designed well and easy to follow. At the end of this, I certainly feel more confident in acting. All his sessions were 1.5 hour long. It's more of practice in his sessions with some analysis of the performance and some general learnings around acting. He is extremely friendly as well and you can comfortably learn with him. Recommended for new actors.
