Roberta Staley, MA, has taught magazine writing at the post-secondary level, tutors high school students in English, and supports undergrad and graduate university students in their studies.

Roberta has been my English tutor for the past few years. We’ve journeyed from grammar to literary studies to writing college essays. I never would have been admitted to my dream school, Carnegie Mellon University, without Roberta helping me tell my story in my college essays. Not only has Roberta helped me drastically elevate my understanding of narratives and telling a story through text, she’s also taught me about pressing social issues with the books that we studied — socioeconomic inequality, racism, sexism, slavery, and war — helping me develop an understanding of the current state of the world. Roberta is a stellar teacher and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.
