About Katherine
Hello, Katherine here :) I've been teaching and coaching students since I was in high school, almost ten years ago! I received my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UC San Diego and will be starting my Master of Arts in Curriculum & Teaching at Columbia Teachers' College this fall. In my free time, I enjoy ice skating, music, martial arts, cafe-hopping, and creative writing. Excited to meet you! (170 LSAT, 1540 SAT)

I have experience working with students of all ages and levels. My teaching method always begins with a diagnostic session where I gauge students' comfortability, strengths, weaknesses, and goals, which shapes the rest of our time together as teacher and student. My lesson plans are tailored to individual student needs and goals, and my teaching strategy is based on ensuring my students feel empowered to learn and grow. (Aside from English and test prep, I've also tutored in math, sciences, history, music theory, and political science. Feel free to reach out with any questions!)
