About Umaima

Are you looking for a patient and supportive tutor to help you build confidence in science?

I'm an Environmental Science graduate with a strong foundation in environmental science, ecology, sustainability, chemistry, research methods, and SPSS. During my studies, I completed a range of research projects in areas including air quality, climate change, waste management, and environmental monitoring, giving me both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

I enjoy helping students understand concepts rather than simply memorizing them. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students can ask questions, strengthen their understanding, and develop the confidence to succeed independently.

Subjects I Can Support

• General Science

• Environmental Science

• Ecology & Sustainability

• School-level Chemistry

• Research Methods

• SPSS (Introductory to Intermediate)

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to your individual needs and learning style.

Lessons may include:

Explaining difficult concepts in a simple, structured way
Working through textbook examples and practice questions together
Preparing for quizzes and examinations
Developing effective study and revision strategies
Guiding students through research methods and statistical concepts
Providing constructive feedback on understanding and academic skills

I encourage active learning and critical thinking so that students become confident learners who can apply their knowledge beyond the classroom.

Whether you're preparing for exams, looking to strengthen your understanding of science, or wanting extra support throughout the semester, I'd be delighted to help you achieve your learning goals.
