About Katherine
I am a fully qualified and experienced primary Gaelic teacher with a lifelong connection to the Scottish Gaelic language and culture. I come from a native Gaelic-speaking family and use Gaelic every day in my life, giving my teaching a strong foundation in real, living language.
I am passionate about language learning and enjoy helping beginners and school-age learners build confidence in Gaelic in a supportive and encouraging environment. My lessons are clear, structured, and tailored to each learner’s needs, with a focus on practical communication as well as cultural understanding.
Alongside teaching, I continue to develop my own language skills and am currently studying Romanian, which helps me stay connected to the learner’s perspective. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, writing, crafting, and walking in nature, and I bring that curiosity and creativity into my teaching.
