About Sam
I'm a second year philosophy student at the university of Lincoln. I've always aspired to be a teacher, like both of my parents. I want to work as a lecturer of philosophy when I am older.
This year, I ran the philosophy department's Peer Assisted Student Support scheme, helping first year students adapt to early life at uni.
Next year, i'll be founding a Student Support Scheme and a Philosophy Society to further develop opportunities for students to help one another with their studies.

I think that learning should be approached from a conceptual level. Its not enough to tell a student "how" to do certain things if you never teach them "why" those things work in the way that they do.
My lessons will focus on breaking down the theoretical side of writing, critical thinking and expression, we'll start by learning how to express ideas well before we look at course content. If you're a student who struggles to put their ideas into words, my lessons will be focused on getting you to a place where you can confidently speak and write about the content of your studies.
I've been tutoring and teaching lessons in schools, as a student, for the past four years. I'm experienced in explaining ideas to students from their 11+ up until their A-Levels, and I'm happy and experienced in working with students with special needs such as Autism and ADHD.
