I have 2 years of experience in the classroom, with 1 year of experience as a tutor on the collegiate level. I have taught over 200 students and tutored approximately 15 students in my undergraduate degree. These students I tutored in writing showed growth in their understanding of grammar and mechanics and improved from an average grade of C to an average of B+ with a few students earning higher.

I am currently a middle school teacher who is transitioning to high school. I have a degree in English literature with a focus on Old English. I use a variety of methods in my instruction. I use more project-based learning and lesson teacher-led instruction. However, I do from time to time deliver direct instruction where students are expected to take notes.
