Throughout my 6 years of teaching experience at Northside College Preparatory HS and CICS Northtown Academy, I discovered that I have an
exceptional rapport with high school students. I have been professionally challenged to meet the needs of
a culturally and linguistically diverse high school level classrooms. I believe it is important to understand
the different learning styles and strengths that students bring to the classroom.
During my teaching experience, I have taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Statistics, Finite Math, Geometry,
Calculus, and AP Calculus. I particularly enjoyed working with at-risk children. I have gained the ability
to modify lessons to provide accommodations for the learning needs of all my students. My careful
preparation of lessons allowed me to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that my young
students could grasp, which was rewarding for both my students and for me.
