About William
Kia ora Akonga/Students. I am a secondary teacher trained, and I still teach at school. I hope to help you study and improve your writing, reading, and literacy. I have a degree in English and History, but I can also help you improve your language and prepare you for external exams.

I specialise in secondary school student education, focusing on building relationships, te Tiriti partnership, and students with dyslexia. I earned my Master's in teaching and learning at Otago University in 2020. I have been teaching for three years.
Lessons are no longer than 40 minutes and use an inquiry focus to develop a foundation in subject-specific skills. Students who need help unpacking texts or writing skills will be well supported using this method. Focus on formal writing and referencing for senior students 16-18. Concept-driven learning and investigation is for students 13-16 years old, with a strong focus on developing English and Social Studies skills.
