About Beth

I'm currently completing higher education, having achieved perfect grades, an internship under a London barrister, a scholarship to an Oxford Union summer school, and a position in the Model Law Commission. I am also working on achieving diplomas in abnormal and children's psychology.

I'm perfectly happy to discuss my tutoring with parents or with the students themselves before our first session, to sort out a routine tailor-made to any particular person's learning style.

No matter whether you learn better visually, kinaesthetically, through listening or by reading through information, we can work out a routine for you. I'm also happy to work with special needs students depending on the extent of their particular requirements.

About the lesson

Lessons can be scheduled on any evening of the week and last between one and two hours, depending on a student's particular schedule. I have tutored multiple people in psychology and English, taking their grades from 5s to 9s at GCSE level, and it's my hope that you, like me, can also achieve perfect marks. My lessons are accessible to anyone from ages 12 through 16 and are catered specifically to the GCSE curriculum.

English Literature lessons will involve discussions about the overarching themes of your chosen text, a closer analysis of language and structure and finally the discovery of conceptual and contextual factors that can elevate writing to the 'perfect' grade.

English Language lessons help to evolve understanding of techniques and particular structures or ideas to write that perfect short story, report, speech or article. We’ll examine example texts and analyse them practically, seeking out what makes them identifiable, and learn to apply that to our writing.

With Mathematics, we’ll go through any subjects you find difficult on a step-by-step basis and work through them from the ground up – after all, it’s not without division and addition that you can solve functions and trigonometric equations. I’m available to help with number, algebra, trigonometry, statistics, or geometry.

Religious Studies students can be helped with deeper analyses of Buddhist and Christian cultures, cultural factors impacting religious writing, and the meaning of passages to different types of believers within a religion, as well as how these passages and their Holy texts impact their day-to-day lives.

I received a 9 (at 99-100%) in all of these subjects and I firmly believe that you can too. Contact me if you want to book a session, or if you’d like to ask more questions about what I teach.
