About Mariam
Hey everyone, my name is Mariam! I am a senior biology major at a university in Los Angeles, with a minor in sociology. I am currently doing research in marine and field biology, looking at how much Carbon Dioxide is released from the atmosphere near oceans and beaches. While my research is in marine and field biology, I am actually interested in pursuing a career in medicine. Nevertheless, before doing so, I would love to gain a master's degree in biomedicine, working to research and uncover more details within biology and medicine. Some of my hobbies include baking, spending time with my friends and family, and learning/teaching about math and science. I look forward to working with all of you!

- I love to explain concepts and methods, not only visually or auditory, but also hands-on! This allows for individuals to actually work to understand the concepts and figure out ways to problem solve.
- I will work with people to understand what is going on with the subject matter then work with them to begin working on problems that can aid to better comprehend the topic.
- What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am also a student, so I want to help other students the way that I would want to helped. It is my only intention to make them comfortable to ask questions, problem solve, and learn all they need to.
- I particularly like to teach mathematics (e.g.statistics, quantitative methods, and algebra, etc.) and biological sciences (Biology 101, cell function, genetics, etc.).
