About Jacob
I am a senior undergraduate at UCLA with a GPA of 3.932, majoring in astrophysics. I have several years of experience tutoring physics courses, both as a private tutor and through college tutoring centers, and have completed tutoring training in order to provide the most effective learning experience. My experience is primarily at a high school and lower division undergraduate level, but I am confident in my knowledge in some upper division courses as well.

Hi, I'm Jacob, a senior astrophysics major at UCLA. My philosophy towards learning is that practice is key. In particular, with physics and math, doing practice problems is the best way to learn. My lessons are made up primarily of example problems that demonstrate particular concepts. I have several years of tutoring experience and have found that practice problems are extremely effective. Over the course of a session we take some time to discuss what should be focused on, then I lead a brief discussion on the subject and then we move onto practice problems. I like to let the student work on it alone for a minute or two so they can think about how they would approach the problem, then we work together to figure it out.
