About Rebecca

I graduated from Bretton Hall with a 1st Class BA Hons degree in Acting. I have extensive experience of tutoring one to one, and in groups. I am an acting teacher, actor, director, and playwright. I have delivered numerous workshops, and performed and directed plays nationally and internationally. I am on the Board of Councillors for an established theatre company and an Associate Director for two established theatre companies. I also tutor for two other tutoring establishments.

My teaching style is adapted around each individual and I am a great believer in encouragement. I thrive from watching my students grow in ability and confidence.

Offered areas of tutoring:

UCAS and CUKAS - Personal Statements
Drama - Primary, GCSE
Drama and Theatre Studies - AS and A Level
Media Studies - AS and A Level
LAMDA Exams - All grades and ages
Drama School Auditions
BA Acting

Students and colleagues have said:

"Rebecca has been tutoring my son, (who is working towards his GCSEโ€™s now) and my daughter (who is in year 8) twice a week for over a year now, and under her guidance we have seen a marked improvement in both their abilities, confidence and grades. Rebecca is sincere, dependable, inspiring and in tune with her students needs. She has a wonderful rapport with both students and parents alike and itโ€™s always a pleasure to have her in the house. I can recommend her without reservation."

"Rebecca tutored our daughter who re-sat her Drama AS year. This involved re-doing all the coursework and her performed piece. Throughout the re-sit, Rebecca provided clear guidance, and gave our daughter the confidence to re-submit. She achieved an A in her re-sit work, and got into her first choice university. Best of all, she enjoyed the work and noticeably grew in confidence and ability. Rebecca is a truly gifted, caring teacher." (Student gained an A grade in Drama and Theatre Studies AS and A Level and a place at her first choice university)

"I can quite honestly say that Rebecca has turned my son`s life around. He is more self confident and capable of practically anything, which I have to say, is mainly due to her very sensitive and intelligent approach to a complicated child. My sons grades are now in the top tier whereas previously we would have been satisfied with a C. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR is that she has shown him that he can achieve anything he wants to if he puts his mind to it." (Student received an A grade in Drama and Theatre Studies A Level)

"Rebecca is by far the most competent tutor I`ve had. She is very attentive to detail in her analysis of texts and brings out the best in her students by encouraging us to explore and dissect the work down to its core. Not only is she a really great tutor, but she is an absolutely lovely person and a joy to be around. We would often get so involved and immersed in our discussions of my A level texts that when the lesson ended, it would feel like no time had passed at all. She makes learning very enjoyable and I would always leave her lessons feeling productive and inspired. I cannot recommend Rebecca enough- she is a fantastic tutor and does not disappoint in any way!" (Student gained an A Grade in Drama and Theatre Studies A Level and gained a place at her fist choice university)

"Rebecca is a fantastic tutor who had helped me achieve the grade that I wanted at Drama GCSE level - A*. Not only did Rebecca provide me with in-depth information on the plays I was studying and writing about, she helped me to plan and write out my essays with the best structure and theatrical language possible, analysing and commenting on set design for Section C of the exam. I highly recommend her assistance" (Student received an A* grade in Drama GCSE)

"Through Rebecca`s help I went up several grades in both my AS and A2 theory examinations and got into my first choice University! I would 100% recommend Rebecca as a tutor. Her care and confidence was phenomenal and something which makes her so unique. Not only did she help me with my exam technique but also interview preparations for University. I have experienced several tutors before, throughout GCSE`s and A Levels and I can honestly and confidently say that Rebecca is the most caring and considerate person I have ever been taught by." (Student went from a U grade to a C grade in four months and gained a place at one of her university choices)

"Rebecca is a great tutor. She has a fantastic knowledge of the theatre scene, and an in-depth knowledge of performance texts. She also helped me with my auditions for drama school. I did really well in all the auditions I attended, and because of her help I`m now at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama." (Student gained a place at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama)

"Rebecca is an outstanding individual. She has a natural gift of encouraging the highest level of contribution from others." (Colleague)
