About Tami
I'm an experienced educator, client success manager, Army veteran, and mother. I watched, first-hand, the negative impact test anxiety can have on students. While I LOVE taking tests, many students freeze and fail when faced with a high-stakes test. These students are often underestimated, written off, and find they have a negative relationship with education as a result. I won't promise you'll LOVE taking tests like I do, but I know we can get to the place where you'll cross "take a high-stakes test" off your list of things to avoid at all cost.

Imagine walking into the testing facility well rested, smiling, and knowing you'll be successful - it's just a matter of HOW successful. We can build that reality, together.
1. Lets Call It What It Is.
We'll take time to identify where the physical and mental responses to anxiety interfere with accessing what students know outside the testing site.
2. Know Your Enemy.
There's no easy fix to test anxiety, but you can learn what you're up against. I'll evaluate areas of strength and weakness, discuss test layout, identify test taking strategies specific to you, and address habits that don't work on standardized tests. We'll take and evaluate practice exams and discuss study strategies that do not include pulling all-nighters.
3. To Thine Own Self Be True.
Not every suggestion is going to work for you. We'll discover the best breathing, grounding, and self-talk exercises for you. I'll teach you how to determine what is a good fit, and what can be discarded.
