About Emily
I am studying Spanish and Psychology currently at the University of St. Thomas, and am going to graduate from undergrad in December. I studied in Spain for two months last summer, living with a host family, which was an amazing experience. I consider myself conversational in Spanish.

About the lesson

I will use a communicative method of teaching, urging students to come up with answers themselves. I will use a mixture of Spanish and English with the beginner students, getting them used to the language. I also will give positive feedback, as well as correct their errors. If an error is made, I will encourage them to find the answer themselves. A typical lesson plan would be reading short paragraphs in Spanish, helping with pronunciation, teaching the students tenses, such as present, past preterite, and teaching colors, foods, and more. I will teach a tense, for example, and ask the student "So what would the Yo form of Hablar be?"
