About Anthony
Hey! I am an insatiably curious post-high schooler preparing for college. I’ve long been an avid discord user who has always been inclined to help people with pending homework assignments on that app. I’ve found it particularly easy to find people that needed help (a lot of procrastinators out there, like me), and I’ve always been glad to give my shot at explaining something (I was even motivated to buy a chalkboard that now hangs on my wall).
Having had the experience in high school of being socially pressured into feeling like I understood what I was learning even though I didn’t, I believe that it’s my duty to put myself into the shoes of those I teach, discovering ideas alongside the student without pressure and
judgement.

My teaching style is motivated by the Feynman technique (which can’t go wrong for self study), so I incorporate it into the dynamics of teaching as well.
• Define what is to be learned at an appropriate level (student specific) with appropriate terminology.
• Gauge the student’s understanding of the subject, taking note of misconceptions and holes in understanding. Base teaching on this vital information.
• Let the student freely express what they know and what they don't at any point during the lesson; the goal should always be to maximize engagement and minimize emotional pressure on the student.
• Retest understanding after each milestone till the ultimate learning goal is reached.
