Hi! I'm Sophie, a first-class French and English Literature graduate with a master's degree in Comparative Literature. I teach English and French for 11+, GCSE and A Level, and maths for GCSE.

About Sophie
I'm Sophie and I teach French and English Literature. I've been passionate about both subjects from a young age: having studied both subjects up to A Level and founding an English Literature society at my school. I achieved top grades while a student: achieving 9 A*s and 3 As at GCSE level and 2A*s and 1 A at A Level. I went on to study French and English Literature at the University of Edinburgh and achieved a first-class degree. During this time, I spent a semester living and studying at Université Sorbonne Paris, which helped me reach B2 level in spoken French. My passion for literature and the arts led me to go on to study a master's degree in Comparative Literature at the University of Amsterdam, where I achieved a top grade of 8.3/10.
I'm currently training to become a lawyer and am studying towards a Master of Laws at BPP University. I'm keen to leverage my experience and passion in languages and literature to help other students excel in their GCSE and A Level qualifications. My natural intellect, subject knowledge and experience working as a teaching assistant will enable me to help students succeed.

My approach to tutoring is to help students by reviewing their assignments and teaching how to achieve top marks for GCSE and A-Level. My lessons are typically 1 hour.
My qualifications are as follows:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Law from BPP University
- Master's Degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Amsterdam (4.0 GPA equivalent)
- First Class Degree in French and English Literature from the University of Edinburgh
- 3 A Levels: A* in English Literature, A* in History, A in French
I have experience as a tutor by volunteering as a teaching assistant at St George's Weybridge.
