About Nicholas
I'm a native English speaker from South Africa, qualified with an Ofqual-regulated Level 5 TEFL certificate — 168 hours through The TEFL Academy. I've been tutoring one-to-one since 2024, and I completed my schooling with English as a Home Language subject.
I teach from a dedicated home office with fiber internet and backup power, so lessons start on time and run without interruption. I prepare for every session, I'm reliable with scheduling, and I'm available across all time zones.
Outside teaching, I'm interested in programming and travel — both keep me curious about how people learn.

My lessons are built around speaking — I keep my talking time low and yours high, because you improve by using English, not by listening to me.
We warm up with easy conversation, then work on the day's focus: vocabulary, reading, or a situation you need to handle. I note errors as we go and we fix them at the end, so you know exactly what to practice.
Level 5 TEFL qualified, tutoring one-to-one since 2024. Games and TPR for children, conversation and practical English for adults. Suits beginners through to intermediate learners.
