About Grace

With 9 years of experience in teaching and working in music, I have become a drum tutor who values dedication, creativity, and positive learning. Teaching school to college students has helped me understand how to make lessons simple, clear, and enjoyable for all levels of learners. A memorable milestone in my teaching journey was leading a rhythm workshop where students created their own beat patterns. Their creativity and teamwork showed me how music can bring confidence and joy to young minds. I have also guided many students through preparations for concerts, competitions, and cultural events.

My teaching method focuses on building strong foundations—timing, beat structure, tempo, and coordination. I demonstrate slowly, explain clearly, and provide practice drills that suit each student’s pace. I also introduce different drumming styles to help learners explore various musical identities. For me, teaching drum is about more than training technical skills. It is about inspiring students to express themselves, stay motivated, and enjoy their progress. My goal is to guide learners with patience and passion so they can feel confident in their musical abilities.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for Drums is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I focus on helping students build strong rhythm skills with simple explanations, clear demonstrations, and enjoyable activities. Motivation keeps students moving forward. I set achievable goals, show them how much they’ve improved, and make lessons fun with rhythm games and song practice. This builds confidence and consistency. Communication makes learning easier. I explain each step clearly, use simple English, and demonstrate every beat slowly. I welcome questions anytime and repeat exercises until the student feels fully comfortable.

Integrity helps students learn the right way. I provide honest feedback, maintain discipline in practice routines, and make sure students master proper sticking, timing, and coordination before moving to advanced levels. Creativity brings excitement to drumming. I teach pattern exploration, basic improvisation, and drum fill creation. Students also get to explore genres like rock, pop, funk, and blues. I include rhythm reading and timing exercises to build a strong foundation. Besides Drums, I also teach rhythm basics, tempo control, percussion fundamentals, and beginner music concepts.
