About Megan
I am a special education teacher at a NYC Private School. I have been teaching for 4 years, with experience at NYC Catholic Schools, as well. The grades I have taught are 1st through 5th. I will be a 1st grade special education teacher upon the new school year. I have my Master's and Teaching Certification in Childhood Education and Special Education.

I believe each student has individual needs that a teacher must meet in order to help him/her grow as a learner. My teaching methodology focuses on the student as a whole, while differentiating instruction to meet the student's needs. Kinesthetic activities, as well as visual support are evident in my lessons.

If the student needs Orton-Gillingham instruction, my rate is $100/hour. If the student does not need Orton-Gillingham instruction, my rate is $85/hour. I recommend tutoring a student 2 to 3x a week for an hour each time.
