About Suzy
My love for drama began as a child when I joined my local drama school in Hertfordshire. Headed up by Rosemarie (still my mentor to this day), her influence is what ultimately led me to set up and operate my own drama school in the way that I do – with an ethos of kindness – something Rosemarie has in spades! She made us all feel important and like part of the family and my aim is to ensure that I bring the same positive impact to my pupils
A few other things about me – I’m a soloist and backing vocalist for (the award winning!) IDMC Gospel Choir, I love the theatre and I love dogs but I don’t have one (sad face)”

As an ATCL Trinity and LAMDA teacher, I’ve spent the majority of my career working in primary and secondary schools, in both the public and private sector, as well as for various Drama schools. I have also been an activity club manager for adults with dementia, running drama-based games and activities to help increase wellbeing. Winning the ‘Engagement and Wellbeing Specialist of the Year’ at the Hertfordshire Care Awards confirmed what I’d felt for a while – that regardless of a person’s ability or age, drama can really help people.
And that’s why I do what I do – I love seeing people enjoy themselves and develop skills that help them thrive in life. I love creating a nurturing space where pupils feel totally comfortable (and forget that they’re even acting!) I love that by exploring characters and telling stories people increase in confidence, improve their communication skills, see things from a different perspective and grow in empathy and understanding. In short, I love how drama can be used as a tool for self-development and I want to help more people discover it.
