About Cate
Along with my love of music and reading I've always felt a drive to connect with and help others. As someone who recently graduated form high school I vividly remember the frustration of consistently getting vague feedback from assessments, always being told to work on "flow" and essay structure but never given the tools on how I was supposed to fix it. However thanks to my excellent tutors I was given the formulas and the knowledge into what exactly markers were looking for and was able to greatly improve my marks. This has ultimately driven me to instil the same confidence that my tutors gave to me by equipping the next generation of students with the tools to ride the HSC wave.

Hi I'm Cate! I recently graduated from Randwick Girls High School and in the 2023 HSC I got a band 6 for Legal studies, E4 for English Extension 1, 89 for Advanced English. This year I will be studying a bachelor of speech pathology at Australian Catholic University.
I have extensive knowledge of the Advanced english modules, specialising in the texts 1984, King Henry IV Part: 1, the poetry of John Keats and the film Bright Star. Similarly, in Extension English 1, I have a detailed understanding of the modules literary worlds and worlds of upheaval, specialising in the texts Frankenstein and Metropolis. Through this expertise, it allows me to help students who are looking to strengthen study skills, exam technique, essay structure, along with providing feedback for any drafts.
In legal studies I have extensive knowledge on the topics, crime, human rights, world order and family law. I can provide tutoring for students looking to get a better understanding of the content, how to structure essays, best ways to tackle questions and the most effective study methods. Overall, I plan to tailor my lessons for the needs of each each student and look forward to hearing from you!!
