About Nye
I am a 22-year-old student finishing my final year of a BA English degree in London. I also completed a year abroad in Amsterdam, at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. I am signing up for this tutoring experience because I want to become a secondary school English teacher after I graduate, and this is perfect experience for me to practise teaching in my subject. I also want to inspire people to enjoy and understanding English as a subject, and to help ease teenagers' burdens during times of stress and study.

I work on a one-to-one basis, and my teaching methods vary from student to student. As an English tutor, the lessons are very much discussion led, supplemented with class notes and my own understandings of the texts studied. Each lesson would be between 1 and 2 hours. I am currently in my final year of a BA English degree, and have had experience tutoring family friends, as well as a year of volunteering in an After School Club (2019). My lessons would be focused on ages 11-18, including GCSE and A-Level students.
