About Shrividya

I am a Design student currently pursuing my 4th year, Bachelors of Engineering in Design, in PES University, Bangalore, with a science background in my 11th and 12th grade. I love teaching students. Their bubbling curiosity, questions, eagerness to learn and thirst for knowledge gets me totally involved in teaching them.
I have an experience of teaching in a school for 3 months during my vacation. I did this out of passion and my love for teaching.
I have a good grasp in English and Communication. My credentials in English are backed by greater than 90% throughout my schooling and college life (11th and 12th).

About the lesson

I follow the below structure for my approach to teaching:
1. PREREQUISITE CONCEPT IDENTIFICATION AND PREPARATION:
For each chapter, I identify the pre-requisite concepts, that a student should have a very good foundational understanding about.
I skim through the basic concepts that a student should know for that particular lesson. If there is/are student/students who do not know those basic concepts, then I'll go into it in detail.
2. LESSON TUTORING
Proceeding through the lesson, I make sure that the students have understood the lesson by giving examples before giving them some exercises to work on(during the class).
Am always open for doubts and ready to clear them whenever students ask.
At the end of each lesson, I go through the whole lesson once again [5 min (revision)] and I like to give a 5 to 10 minute oral test (for English) and small written tests( for English and other subjects) to make sure that they have understood the lesson thoroughly.
3.POST TUTORING SELF EXERCISES:
A set of combination of direct and indirect questions will be provided to the student. The student can practice them at home and submit it for review.
If there are any major mistakes in their exercise, a few more classes will be conducted to make them understand the areas which they haven't understood.
If there are minor mistakes, one class of about 30 min. will be held to correct their mistakes.

Notes will be provided so that the student finds it easy to revise what is taught.
