About Mirren
I am a straight A, full IB student. I am also chief copy editor on my school’s newspaper, meaning I am in charge of proofreading every story before it is published. I am secretary of my speech and debate team of more than 60 people; I am in an oratory category so I write and perform a 10 minute speech on a topic of my choice. I am also in NHS and student council secretary. Most importantly, throughout my high school career I have tutored students in grades 5-10. I am very passionate about my academics and strive to further my own skills and help students like myself find and apply their academic potential.

I don’t just provide answers and support, I teach students how to think critically and come to their own conclusions for the topic at hand. Most of the times in English the answer is right in front of you, but you just can’t see it. I take the extra step and teach students just like myself how to not only see the answer, but fully comprehend and be able to explain the answer.
