About Marlene
As an experienced Intervention Specialist and former Title 1 Teacher, MARLENE brings a calm, supportive, and highly organized approach to every tutoring session. Because of my background as an Intervention Specialist and Title 1 Teacher, I’m skilled at identifying learning gaps, simplifying difficult concepts, and adapting lessons to each student’s pace and needs.
A typical lesson with me starts with a quick check-in to review goals and current struggles. Then we work through assignments or targeted skill-building activities using modeling, examples, and active practice. I end each session with a brief recap and a plan for what to focus on next, so students always leave with clarity and confidence.
What sets me apart is my experience supporting students with diverse learning styles and academic challenges. I bring patience, empathy, and strong organizational strategies to every session, and I use real-world connections to keep learning practical and engaging.
