About Tamsyn
I am currently a student teacher at the University of Auckland doing a post graduate diploma in teaching. I have over 5 years of experience as a teacher aide and have worked as one in schools and online. I am in my 30s and my pronouns are they/them, even though I am femme presenting. I enjoy painting, creative writing and a general goth/punk aesthetic.

I take on a holistic approach to tutoring, and learn alongside my learners. I can assist younger and older people with ASD, ADHD and other disabilities that may get in the way of learning. I am also rainbow friendly, being queer myself, so this would be a judgment-free zone and will incorporate your identity into your learning. A lesson is usually an hour per lesson, but I can facilitate short lessons for up to 30 minutes. The education levels are from primary school, intermediate school, and up to 1st year of secondary school. Beyond that, I can assist in basic understanding but anything needing more I'd suggest talking to someone more experienced in high schools and universities. My expertise is being able to assist those who struggle with mainstream schooling, and would like extra support. I am a student teacher myself so I will be putting into practice what I have been taught throughout the year, so please do understand I am a beginning student teacher who is looking for ways to support.
