About Val
Presently, I work at an elementary school with all grade levels. Prior, I was studying English education at Austin College with plans to become a teacher, though financially I was unable to finish school. I’m using this time to get some field experience and save money before returning to school to get my degree. That being said, the three years I was able to finish have taught me a lot regarding English literature and writing. I made the decision to study etymology and linguistics on my own in order to work on my own proofreading and editing.

I studied English education in order to teach and hope to reach my goal starting through tutoring. For older students, I can help with writing, proofreading and grammar, and breaking down meaning of books and other English assignments. I can also work with younger children on learning spelling, phonics, and sentence structure.
