About Michael

I am a Texas A&M University student with a strong academic background in leadership, business, communication, and professional writing. Throughout my education and professional experience, I have developed strong English literacy, writing, and communication skills that I use in both academic and workplace settings.

I take professionalism seriously and believe that being a good tutor means being prepared, patient, dependable, and respectful of each student’s individual goals. My experience in leadership roles has also taught me how to communicate clearly with people from different backgrounds and adapt the way I explain something when necessary.

As a native English speaker, I can help conversational English speakers improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, sentence structure, and understanding of how English is naturally used in everyday and professional settings. My goal is not simply to teach textbook English, but to help students communicate with greater confidence, clarity, and professionalism.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is focused on helping students who already speak conversational English become more confident, natural, and fluent. Instead of starting with basic English, I focus on improving pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, and the ability to communicate clearly in real-world situations.

A typical lesson starts with a conversation about a topic that interests the student. From there, I identify areas that can be improved and work with the student on pronunciation, word choice, grammar, and more natural ways to express their thoughts. Lessons can also focus on professional communication, school, interviews, presentations, or everyday conversations depending on the student’s goals.

What sets me apart is my practical and relaxed teaching style. I want students to feel comfortable speaking freely without worrying about making mistakes. I provide corrections and explanations throughout the lesson while keeping the conversation natural and engaging.

These lessons are designed for Spanish speakers who are already conversational in English and want to take their speaking and communication skills to the next level. Whether your goal is to sound more natural, expand your vocabulary, improve your pronunciation, or become more confident speaking English, I will tailor each lesson to what you want to accomplish.
