About Annie
I’m a professionally trained actor and freelance scriptwriter in my 20s, living in London. I graduated with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Acting & Performance from the University for the Creative Arts, and I still clearly remember how overwhelming the journey into drama school and higher education can feel.
Pursuing a creative path is exciting, but it’s also deeply personal. You’re not just submitting an application — you’re standing in front of a panel and sharing something of yourself, often in just a few minutes. I’ve been through that process myself, and I understand the pressure, self-doubt and vulnerability that can come with it.
Because of that, I approach my teaching with empathy and honesty. My aim is to create a calm, supportive space where students feel safe to take risks, ask questions and grow in confidence. I’m reliable, professional and fully committed to helping each student feel prepared — not just technically, but mentally — for the next step in their training.

My approach to tutoring is practical, focused and centred around each individual student. I work primarily with ages 16–22, particularly those preparing for university or drama school auditions.
No two students are the same, and I adapt every lesson to suit the individual’s strengths, challenges and working style. I’m particularly interested in helping students identify what makes them unique as performers — their instincts, quirks and natural qualities — and developing those into confident, truthful performances rather than trying to mould them into a single “type” of actor.
Lessons are usually 60–90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs. Sessions often include text analysis, character exploration, voice and physicality work, and detailed feedback on monologues or audition pieces. We break down characters and text carefully, explore objectives and intentions, and build authenticity and clarity in performance.
I hold a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Acting & Performance from the University for the Creative Arts and currently work as a freelance writer and Assistant Director. This allows me to approach performance from both the actor’s and the creative team’s perspective, helping students understand not only how to perform a piece, but how it functions within the wider production.
