About Tanay
Hello! I’m Tanay, an English tutor specializing in reading, writing and grammar for school students up to class 12. I believe that strong English skills can completely change a student’s confidence – not just in exams, but in everyday life. That’s why my classes focus on clear understanding, correct usage and smart exam preparation. Over time, I have helped students who were: Struggling with grammar and sentence formation Losing marks in writing sections (essays, letters, notices, etc.) Afraid of comprehension passages and unseen texts Together, we worked step by step on concept clarity, regular practice and answer presentation, and they started seeing real improvement in both their marks and their comfort with English. In my classes, you can expect: Simple and clear explanations (with examples) A friendly, patient and non-judgmental environment Focus on school/board syllabus and exam patterns Personal attention to your strengths and weaknesses Regular feedback on your writing and grammar I teach only school-level students (classes 1–12) so that I can fully concentrate on this age group and their needs – from basics to board-level preparation. If you are a parent looking for a reliable, consistent tutor or a student who wants to finally feel confident in English, I’d be happy to help you on that journey.

My teaching techniques and methods My teaching style is student-centered, practical and very interactive. I focus on: Strong basics first I start by checking the student’s current level and clearing fundamental concepts in grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure. Step-by-step explanation I break every topic (like tenses, articles, subject–verb agreement, etc.) into simple parts, explain with examples and then give short practice exercises. Real-life reading & writing practice I use: Short stories, articles and passages for reading Letters, essays, notices, reports, emails, and comprehension-based questions for writing Exam-oriented approach Students can stop me anytime to ask doubts. I don’t move on until the concept is fully understood. Regular practice & feedback I give: Short homework practice Regular tests/quizzes Detailed feedback on writing — grammar, structure, vocabulary and presentation Language correction in a friendly way I gently correct pronunciation, sentence formation and common mistakes in spoken and written English, so students gain confidence instead of feeling judged. The usual structure of a class A typical 1-hour class with me looks like this: Warm-up (5–10 mins) Quick recap of last class 2–3 short questions or a small activity (like error correction or a short reading passage) Main lesson (30–35 mins) Explanation of the day’s topic (grammar / reading / writing) Examples from textbooks, past papers or real-life content Live practice in class (students solve while I guide) Guided practice & discussion (10–15 mins) Students try similar questions on their own We discuss answers together I highlight common mistakes and how to avoid them in exams Doubt session + homework (5–10 mins) Students ask doubts from current or previous topics I give short, targeted homework (like one writing task or a few questions) I sometimes share tips for exams, time management and answer presentation Classes can be one-to-one or in small batches, but I always try to maintain a comfortable and focused learning environment. My special features as a teacher As a teacher, I offer: Clear, simple explanations I explain concepts in easy language and, if needed, in a mix of English and Hindi so students can fully understand. Personalized attention I adjust the speed and level of teaching according to each student’s understanding and board/school. Focus on both marks and real English skills I don’t just teach for exams—I also help students actually improve their reading, writing and overall English usage. Improvement tracking I regularly show students (and parents, if needed) where the child started and how they are progressing in: Grammar Writing quality Reading comprehension Confidence in using English Friendly and patient approach Students are encouraged to make mistakes, ask “basic” doubts and learn without fear. I repeat concepts as many times as needed. For whom the classes are intended? My English reading, writing and grammar classes are intended for: School students from class 1 to class 12 Students who: Want to improve basic and advanced grammar Need help with comprehension passages and unseen passages Want to score higher in English exams and boards Struggle with writing skills (essays, letters, notices, reports, articles, etc.) Want to build confidence in using correct English in school and everyday life.
