About Francesca
I love teaching English and take the responsibility of teaching a core subject very seriously.
I have a passion for reading, and enjoy helping students to unlock this experience as I believe reading to be the most important skill delivered through the national curriculum. I have experience in teaching in an OFSTED rated 'Outstanding' school and achieved outstanding results with my students during my time at the school. I also have experiencing of being an au pair where I looked after three French speaking students over the summer and spoke English with them. In my previous school I ran individual and small group intervention sessions for year 10 and 11 students and also taught numerous top set classes - so if you are looking for stretch and challenge, I have experience in this area too.
I also have experience at teaching students with SEND/ALN and would be open to teaching students with any additional learning needs.
Starting this September, I have started teaching English at an 'excellent' school in Cardiff who achieve outstanding results and I look forward to to the challenge of teaching in such a high calibre school.
Finally, I am a very warm, kind and patient individual and I transfer these qualities to my teaching delivery to ensure mutual trust is established between myself and anyone am lucky enough to tutor!
