About Jackson
I've been playing drums since I was a kid! (My dad was a drummer, too, so I was doomed)
Primarily, I currently teach elementary literacy, and am very comfortable in group or one-on-one settings. I have been playing seasonally as a professional percussionist since 2012, and am more than happy to help others learn the ropes of classical, drumline, and marching percussion.

I'll usually focus on beginners, and my experience working with elementary-aged students has made me very confident at introducing students to brand-new material. However, I'm happy to take on students of any age and skill level! Whether you're rehearsing an intricate xylophone solo for an audition, or just learning to hold your sticks, I'll be there to help.
I've been described as steady and patient, but still a little goofy, in my teaching style. Learning should be fun, especially learning music!
