Experienced Education Leader | Teacher Mentor | Professional Development
I am an experienced education leader with more than 30 years of teaching and school management experience, including senior leadership as a Deputy Principal.
I hold a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Education Policy Studies and have extensive practical experience in teaching, teacher mentoring, curriculum implementation, assessment, school management, staff development and educational leadership.
My passion is developing people.
I currently mentor education students from different distance-learning universities, supporting them with teaching practice, lesson preparation, academic research, academic writing and, importantly, the development of professional confidence.
My approach is practical, supportive and grounded in real school experience. I believe that effective teaching is not simply about following a lesson plan. It is about understanding learners, making sound professional decisions and developing the confidence to respond effectively to the realities of the classroom.

I can help you understand not only what to do, but why it works — and how to adapt your approach when real classroom situations do not go according to plan.
Whether you are a student teacher preparing for teaching practice, a newly qualified teacher finding your feet in the classroom, an experienced teacher looking to grow professionally, or an aspiring school leader preparing for greater responsibility, my aim is to help you become a more confident, capable and reflective education professional.

My role is to help you develop the knowledge, judgement, confidence and professional skills to become the educator you want to be.

About the lesson

Professional development should start with your classroom — not with a textbook.
My 1-to-1 mentoring is built around you as a teacher. You bring the lesson, challenge or area you want to improve, and we work through it together.
We identify what is happening, explore why it is happening, develop a practical strategy, and turn it into something you can use in your next lesson. At our next session, we reflect on what worked, what did not, and what needs to change.
Areas we can work on include lesson structure, introductions, transitions, learner engagement, checking for understanding, classroom management, lesson planning, questioning techniques and reflective practice.
I don't provide a collection of generic PowerPoints or tell you to copy somebody else's teaching style. My role is to help you understand your own teaching, strengthen it and develop a practical approach that works for you and your learners.
Whether you are a new teacher, an experienced teacher wanting to sharpen your practice, an international teacher adapting to a new environment, or a PGCE/B.Ed. student preparing for the classroom, the mentoring is shaped around your needs.
