About Zaheerah
I am a highschool teacher who is absolutely passionate about tecahing. I beleive in personal development as much as I believe students should develop. Therefore, I would like to continue develop through 1-1 tutoring sessions. I am a confident, funny, talkative, relaible, organised individual who will work the best for you to help you achieve high grades and reach your targets. I am extremely motivated and driven, which will reflect in your progress in the subject.

I make a timetabled plan firstly for my students so we can see what we are covering each week. ThenI will deliever a lesson in it, in short bursts to help them recall information. Finally to consolidate all thsi learning, I expect my students to complete exam practice with me on what we have learnt the same week, but also on previous material covered. This helps them revisit learning, take control and responsibility of their own learning and revision and also helps them gain insight on how their exam questions should be answered. During my tutor sessions I also encourage my students to make notes in a form that will help them with revision later on (eg: keywords lists, infographics).
My lessons usually last an hour due to wanting to complete exam practice and wnating to hear feedback from students. Although I am flexible and can accomadate to youror your childs needs.
I have had experience as a SEND support worker so I can work and tailor to individual needs. I have had experience as a HLTA which has allowed me to gain insight on other tecahing methods too. I have been a cover supervisor in a highschool which allowed me to see other specifications fromother subjects, so I can provide help for this. I have been a form tutor which has helped me gain experinece with cv writing,college applications etc.
My lessons are tailored for highschool students from the age of 11-16 year olds.
