About Carroll
I've got a Masters in Humanities and have taught Writing, Literature, and History at various universities around the world and I've taught in high schools in the US and abroad. I've also worked as a university administrator for a number of years, helping students work towards applying to universities in the US, the UK, and Australia.

For most students, we start with a reading, usually what they're working on in a class and we go over it to make sure the student has a good understanding of themes, characters, and plot within the story. We then move to planning to write an essay on the reading, picking a topic, organizing an essay and work through the writing process until we have a finished essay.
Some students have an essay already written and they just need to review and revise what they have.
In either instance, I work with students to ensure understanding of the text and assist on writing an essay based on the reading.
I've taught Composition and Literature courses at the university level, high school English, and tutored in writing and literature for both high school and university students.
