About Lindsey

I genuinely love teaching and helping students grow into confident, skilled learners. I’m proud to be a two-time Teacher of the Year, and as both an educator and a mom, I bring patience, understanding, and heart to everything I do.

About the lesson

With 16 years of experience — including the last 11 dedicated to teaching fifth and sixth grade ELA to struggling learners — I bring both expertise and heart to every tutoring session. I’m certified in the Hochman Method for building writing skills and have a patient, compassionate approach that meets students where they are. Many of my students have faced challenges due to reading or writing disorders, so I specialize in breaking down material into clear, accessible steps and providing the scaffolding they need to build confidence and success. If you're looking for a tutor who truly understands how to support and uplift developing readers and writers, I’m here to help. I am also certified in all subjects through 5th grade, and I’d be happy to support summer school work in reading or math.
