Cathy is a fabulous British Sign Language (BSL) tutor. She is a natural communicator, always finding a way to have a conversation, no matter if the other person doesn’t know any BSL. Cathy is patient and understanding that learning BSL can be difficult for some people at first. She is able to tutor for a range of needs, and at BSL levels 1, 2, and 3. She has improved my BSL, and cares about her students. I highly recommend Cathy!

Catherine is an incredibly kind, patient tutor and all round lovely person. I find elements of sign language difficult to remember and each time we talk she patiently coaches and reminds me, going at my speed whilst still encouraging me to push my language skills. She is a knowledgeable and competent teacher at any skill level from beginner to more advanced. I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent sign language tutor.

Cathy has been my BSL tutor for many years. I completed my Level 1, 2 and 3 with her, including some difficult times during Covid where we had to suddenly switch to online lessons for a large amount of time. Despite finding this particularly challenging after being used to face-to-face lessons, Cathy was able to steer us all successfully through our exams. She is engaging and approachable and was able to make our learning fun and relatable by following a course syllabus as well as allowing us to learn the language in our everyday conversations. I very much looked forward to the lessons with Cathy and my group each week.

Cathy is so calm and friendly, she takes the pressure off learning BSL. She reassures constantly and is always so encouraging. I’ve learned so much from her.

Catherine is an incredible British Sign Language tutor! She’s patient, great at explaining, and will make sure you feel really comfortable with the material. She’s really friendly and approachable, but makes sure to challenge you with your learning as well so you gain something from the tutoring. Her class materials are so helpful and well made, and I learned so much from her.
