About Van
I am bilingual in English and Vietnamese, and I understand how important language is for communication, confidence, school, work, and daily life. Because I have experience using both languages in real situations, I can help students learn in a simple, practical, and easy-to-understand way.
As someone who understands both Vietnamese and English, I know the common challenges students may face when learning either language. Vietnamese learners may struggle with English pronunciation, grammar, sentence structure, or confidence when speaking. English learners may struggle with Vietnamese tones, pronunciation, vocabulary, and cultural meaning. My goal is to make those challenges easier by explaining lessons clearly and patiently.
My tutoring style is supportive, patient, and focused on real improvement. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and practicing without feeling embarrassed. I believe mistakes are part of learning, and every lesson should help the student become more confident than before.
I can help with speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, homework, and daily conversation. I also like to connect lessons to real-life situations so students can actually use what they learn outside of tutoring sessions.
Overall, I believe I would be a strong English and Vietnamese tutor because I can communicate clearly in both languages, understand the struggles of language learners, and explain difficult topics in a simple way. My goal is not only to help students improve their language skills, but also to help them feel more confident using English and Vietnamese in real life.
