About Joshua
Hi there, I'm Josh, a native English speaker from the US. While working as a chemical engineer for many years, I was also a volunteer teacher and realized how much I love teaching and helping people progress towards their goals. I enjoy learning languages myself, traveling, hiking, reading, and playing video games and board games. Although I only became TEFL certified in 2024, I have over 10 years of teaching experience. I currently teach English to learners of all ages, in groups and one-on-one, both online and in-person.

As everyone learns differently, I believe the best outcomes are achieved through adaptive teaching to identify the best methods for each learner and customize the lesson plans accordingly.
If you're only interested in conversation practice with a native English speaker, please let me know at the start of our first lesson! Otherwise, our first lesson will be focused on evaluating your reading, listening, speaking, and possibly writing skills to evaluate how to plan the rest of our lessons.
