About Isobel
I am a 29 y/o chef from England, and have been living all over France for the last 5 years, including Paris, the Basque country, the Alpes and Corsica.
When I moved I didn't speak French, and became fluent through hard work & perseverance with locals, and casual online tutoring, even when I understood very little!
I love travel and meeting people, I have a passion for food and the outdoors, and spending time in nature.
I know first hand how important shared language is in building real connections when moving to a new place.
I want to share this with people looking to learn English but who may not feel like they are "good at languages" to show you it's not scary and doesn't have to be filled with tests and grammar!

My experience is in teaching young adults and people looking to use native expressions through conversation and real life situations, as opposed to in depth grammar or business English.
Lesson lengths will remain short to keep you engaged and avoid overwhelming you with information, generally at 30 minutes, but can be extended depending on what you would like to cover, or any focus points that may have come up over the week.
I am flexible and adaptable to each person's goals - perfect if you have moved to an English speaking country and want to integrate into life and culture with ease!
I also have experience teaching young children, particularly teaching French to English and reading.
