About Phoebe

Hi, I'm Phoebe — an experienced ESL teacher based in Sydney, Australia. I'm TEFL-certified with over 25 years of IELTS expertise and a strong background in business English and workplace communication. I also hold a Commerce degree and bring 20 years of corporate experience from some of Australia’s best-known organizations. This unique combination of language teaching and real-world business insight allows me to support professionals across industries in becoming clear, confident communicators — whether for IELTS, presentations, interviews, or daily work communication. Outside the classroom, I enjoy yoga, mountain hiking, and connecting with people from all walks of life. My students describe me as compassionate, fun, and focused on real results. I'm excited to support you on your learning journey — and I look forward to seeing you in class!

About the lesson

I take a practical, supportive, and results-focused approach to teaching. My lessons typically run for 50 minutes and combine clear frameworks, real-world examples, and tailored feedback to help students gain fluency and confidence — fast. Whether you're preparing for IELTS or improving your business communication skills, I focus on helping you speak naturally, clearly, and with impact. With 25 years of IELTS experience, a Commerce degree, and a background in corporate Australia, I bring both language expertise and industry insight to every session. My classes are ideal for adult learners and professionals at intermediate to advanced levels who are ready to level up their English for work, study, or career progression.
