Ready to dive into the world of Mandarin? In our first lesson, we’ll kick things off with the basics:
1. Pinyin & Pronunciation – Learn how to say those tones without sounding like you’re singing off-key (don’t worry, everyone starts somewhere!)
2. Everyday Greetings – Master simple phrases like “你好 (nǐ hǎo)” and “谢谢 (xièxiè)” so you can start chatting right away.
3. Chinese Characters 101 – We’ll explore a few fun and easy characters and show you how Chinese writing is actually kind of like drawing (with meaning!).
4. Cultural Tips – Find out why you never give clocks as gifts and how to say hello without actually saying “hello.”
