About Brent
I never seriously thought of being anything else than a teacher. I love helping young get excited about understanding the world around them.
My degrees are in Medieval Europe, Art education and American Literature. I’ve taught American History Surveys I & II, Texas History, Art I & II, Ceramics, Intro Computer Tech, Destination Imagination and Model United Nations.

I’m uniquely aware and open to the various learning styles that each of us use to explore knowledge. My lesson plan approach throughout my career was to first establish a personal relevance for each student. I want the student to experience success and understand the value the knowledge has for them. These practices have served me well in a thirty year career as a public school teacher on the secondary level.
