About Isabella

Strong reading and writing skills are not only lifelong assets—they’re also empowering tools for self-expression, communication, and success in any field. I believe every student deserves the opportunity to develop these skills in a supportive and encouraging environment, especially those who may face learning challenges. I understand how overwhelming writing can feel at times, and I’m here to help you work through those struggles with patience and understanding. English has always been my strongest subject, and it's where I’ve consistently excelled, even when I’ve found other subjects more difficult. Writing has even opened opportunities in my life, such as giving speeches at the Chula Vista City Hall, and using those speeches to be elected as a Library Board Trustee member. My confidence in writing has helped me succeed across many areas of my academic life, and I’m passionate about helping you build that same confidence. As your tutor, my goal is to help you not only improve your writing but enjoy the process. We'll find what works best for your learning style and use it to your advantage, turning writing into something that feels natural, empowering, and even fun. My approach as your tutor is helping you in a calm and comfortable environment where we can have fun and do some learning. I really, truly care about teaching, and there is so much joy in watching a student grow and finally feel pride in their work. Together, we’ll work toward meaningful progress—not just in your writing, but in yourself as a student.

About the lesson

As a high school student who has struggled with ADHD, I understand the intricacies and issues that come with understanding complex subjects. Personally, it has taken me years to understand my style of learning and absorbing information, but eventually I've come to grasp how I learn, and I hope to help you find the same clarity in writing.

I’ve worked with students who have learning differences, and many have seen noticeable improvement after just one session. My goal isn’t just to help you write better, but to actually enjoy the process and gain confidence in your abilities. Writing is absolutely my passion and very significant in my life, and I'd love nothing more than to help you find the beauty in it while also improving academically.

Whether you're working on argumentative essays, analysis, synthesis, or improving your annotations to better understand texts, I’ll stay with you as long as it takes to make sure you feel supported and successful.

I'm available for elementary, middle, and high school tutoring—covering everything from standard English classes to Advanced Placement courses.
