As a tutor, I focus on making English and Literature both accessible and enjoyable. I tailor each lesson to fit the student’s needs whether that’s preparing for AP English exams, improving essay writing, or understanding complex literary texts. I believe in meeting students where they are and helping them build confidence through encouragement, structure, and clarity.
A typical lesson begins with a quick check-in and review of previous material. Then, we dive into the day’s focus this might include breaking down a poem, analyzing a novel excerpt, working through grammar and sentence structure, or outlining a persuasive essay. I use a mix of discussion, guided practice, and interactive exercises to keep students engaged and thinking critically.
What sets me apart is that I’m a high-achieving student myself, I’ve taken advanced English courses, written award-winning essays, and know what teachers and AP scorers are looking for. I can explain concepts in a relatable way because I’ve recently mastered them myself. I also bring creativity to every session, helping students connect emotionally to the texts we study.
