About Tiger

Hello! I'm Tiger, a year 11 student at Melbourne High School (one of Victoria's top Selective-Entry schools, ranked #2) and I believe that with the right help, everyone is capable of excelling in English - and I'd love to be the one to help you!

I'm calm, approachable and great at painting a clear path to success in English, step-by-step.

Qualifications:
- Student at MHS
- 4x superiors on the selective entry test
- Never gotten below an A in English
- Tutored countless classmates, getting them from C's to A's.
- Helped a group of friends in the same grade get B+ - A scores on the Y10 final English exam @ MHS.

About the lesson

I tutor through patient guidance and I tailor to the individual student's needs in a style that helps them learn the best. I employ techniques such as active recall, Feynman's technique and task-based learning when teaching, making sure that the student truly understands what they're learning on an advanced level.

Whether it's selective school entry exams, scholarships, test preparations, or just a helping hand in class, I'm always willing to deliver.

My lessons can be online (across Melbourne) or in-person and at any length needed.

For English, my lessons are for Prep - Year 9 students looking for support or extension with:

Reading comprehension, Verbal reasoning, Spelling, Grammar, Argumentative (Persuasive) essay crafting, Narrative (creative) text crafting, Oral (Speaking) presentations and Analytical Essay crafting.
