About Sheryl
Growing up in Havana means that English was never just a school subject but a survival tool. It happens that my path, influenced by a degree from Kent State University, involves helping others bridge the gap between their native tongue and the professional requirements of their new home.
Whether we are focusing on reading comprehension or phonics for beginners, I find the process of simplifying complex rules quite rewarding. My work with 236 students has highlighted how editing and proofreading can transform a simple document. Exam preparation for IELTS and TOEFL remains a core focus of my practice. Sharing the nuances of business English with those building a career here is truly the most enjoyable part of my day.
