About Amy
I am a registered CYC, who also has both Law Clerk & Community Justice diplomas, as well as my BSW. I have worked with at-risk teen boys, as well as younger youth for 10+ years; this includes program supports as well as facilitating group sessions, and creating learning workshops.
In working with diverse populations, as well as with my own children, I realize that neurodivergence can add an extra layer of complexity to learning, and as both a parent and practitioner who has navigated the education system, I am able to tailor my approach to your child's specific needs.
I pride myself on having been able to create lessons that got even the most resistant students to engage and succeed, and hope we can connect and figure out a plan for your child!

Learning should feel fun and engaging, not like a dreaded hassle. I specialize in English, Social Sciences, Law, and History, providing personalized lessons tailored to your specific learning style to help build confidence, and achieve your academic goals.
I have extensive experience supporting students with neurodivergence, learning differences, and academic challenges. My approach is patient, adaptable, and tailored to each student's unique needs. Whether you want to improve reading/writing skills, strengthen critical thinking and analytical skills, prepare for that test or exam coming up, or just learn useful study skills, I got you! We work at your pace and it's only up from there.
I want to help you improve your grades while you also develop good study habits and build your confidence in whatever subject matter we tackle so that you face it head-on yourself and quiet any self-doubt.
Learning styles vary from person to person, and we will create a tutoring plan specific to you in order for you to maximize the experience.
