About Sadie

I have tutored, teacher and au paired for 6 years, and working with children in each of these capacities has shown me that each child needs a stable, supportive human in their life to help them better grow and succeed in whatever area that may be. Giving a student a platform to form their own development and aide in their own success is paramount. So many times we expect children to all learn and grow in the same way, and this is where we have to realize their uniqeness and embrace it! I am studying Music Therapy to be able to work with kids with disabilities and trauma, using music, dance, drama and performance as a tool. I already incorporate these fun activities in my lessons, and this just gives each student a safe space to choose their own way of learning.

About the lesson

I love music, language and drama. I try and facilitate an environment of fun and unique lessons that are tailor-made to each students learning style. Engaging students means using the subject matter to interest them and keep them determined to learn and keep at it, until they succeed. Using different approaches to learning means that each student will engage with their subject matter in a way they understand and grasp. Revision, repetition and reward! That is the mantra I believe in. Each student should walk away from their lesson having learnt something and obtained that knowledge forever, but also have looked back and enjoyed the learning process as well as have built their confidence in the subject they are learning.
